Who is responsible
Piscines AB, a pool and spa service company in the Gatineau–Ottawa region, is responsible for the personal information collected through www.piscinesab.org.
This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is stored and how to exercise your rights. It takes into account Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to send us through the quote request form:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your address or area;
- the service you need and, if you wish, a message.
The site never asks for payment information and has no user accounts.
How we use it
Your information is used only to:
- respond to your request and communicate with you about it;
- prepare a quote and schedule the work.
By sending the form, you consent to this use. We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.
Sharing and hosting
Information sent through the form goes to the company's Wix account (Wix.com), where it is stored and from which we are notified of your request. Wix's servers may be located outside Quebec.
The site is hosted by Wix (Wix.com). Like any web host, Wix processes technical connection data (IP address, browser type, page requested) to display and protect the site. Its servers may also be located outside Quebec.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with any other third party unless required by law.
Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookies, no audience-measurement tools and no tracking pixels.
Our host, Wix, sets technical cookies that are essential to the site's operation and security: client-session-bind and server-session-bind, session cookies deleted when you close your browser; __cf_bm (bot protection), which expires after 30 minutes; and ssr-caching, which expires after 20 seconds. They are used neither for advertising nor for audience measurement. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram or our partner's website lead to third-party sites governed by their own policies.
Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, complete the work and meet our legal obligations. It is then destroyed or anonymized.
We limit collection to the information your request requires, and exchanges between your browser and the site are encrypted (HTTPS).
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- ask to access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- withdraw your consent to its use.
To exercise these rights, write to us at administration@piscinesab.ca. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request.
If you believe your information has not been handled properly, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (opens in a new tab).
